The Hotel is nestled in the heart of the Cape Winelands, on a picturesque 40-hectare estate in the Simonsberg ward near Stellenbosch. With 36 hectares of meticulously farmed vineyards, the lodge is dedicated to producing exceptional wines that showcase the region’s unique terroir.

Formerly known as Laibach Vineyards, the estate was acquired by neighbouring Kanonkop in April 2022 and renamed Ladybird Boutique Hotel. The property retains its original charm, featuring the historic Laibach wine cellar, a welcoming guest house, and organically cultivated vineyards.

Led by the experienced management team of Michael and Anél Malherbe, alongside esteemed winemaker Francois van Zyl, Ladybird Boutique Hotel continues to produce high-quality wines. The estate’s vineyards include Chenin Blanc, Merlot, Chardonnay, Cabernet Sauvignon, Pinotage, Petit Verdot, and Malbec.”

The restaurant at Ladybird Boutique Hotel now opens its doors to the public for Sunday Lunches, an invitation to slow down, connect, and indulge in a truly local dining experience. You can expect a set menu crafted to celebrate the season, each dish prepared with care and best enjoyed with family or friends around a long table. For those who prefer a more intimate setting, individual bookings are also available.

What a little piece of heaven Ladybird is, from the moment you drive in it felt like paradise. Rooms are spacious and clean, property is breathtaking and very well-kept.
